Satubhai and friends, – “ ENLIGHTENMENT NOW “
Yesterday, our study group had a study-filled discussion for the empowerment of the people of four states of South India.
My personal opinion is that in all these four states, public life is not disturbed by emotional issues like Hindu-Muslim conflict and other temples-mosques. Apart from this, since there have been people-centric governments for years, elected governments have been working focusing on education, health and public development. Even communist or leftist governments have given priority to the material happiness of the people by accepting the possibility of individual and social change through ballot and democratic means as a means.
Before we prepare any agenda in such states as a group, let us know and understand the actual situation of each state based on the “human development criteria”. Based on this, the challenges that have been faced on the basis of the “Human Development Index” at the global level in the last 80 years after the Second World War and the use of rational reasoning as a method of finding truth, and the use of scientific knowledge, methods and evidence to achieve anthropocentric well-being and prosperity instead of religion-centered or God-centered, and the collaborative human march in that direction, setting aside national boundaries, is very commendable.
Therefore, my conclusion is that we as a group should realistically assess the “Human Development Index” of all the four southern states and, taking the areas where human empowerment has taken place based on the “Human Development Index” of those eight decades at the world level, as the polar star, suggest a realistic model of development.
In this context, Prof Jason Crawford has prepared a study note of about 8 to 10 pages of American humanist psychologist Dr Steven Pinker's book "ENLIGHTENMENT NOW". Taking it as a basis, let us prepare our ground and real project. The link to the PDA is attached herewith.
